Hand carved olive wood fish keyring

Approximate size: 2.5 x 6cm (plus ring and chain)

The carving is smoothed with sandpaper then lacquered to protect the wood and produce an attractive finish. The grain of the wood produces a beautiful product, each one being unique.

Our supplier in Bethlehem is a guaranteed World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) member. Their aim is to preserve the local handicraft traditions, and benefit future generations of Palestinians. Thy strive to alleviate local poverty and unemployment. Their olive wood carving technique was first developed because of the local availability of the raw material and the demand by pilgrims for religious icons.
